Korea Elder Protection Agency was established in 2006 as an entrusted institution of the Ministry of Health and Welfare established pursuant to Article 39-5 of the Welfare of Senior Citizens Act. Korea Elder Protection Agency publishes an annual report on the status of elder abuse.

ASEM Global Ageing Center introduces the '2021 Report on Abuse of Older Persons' published in June 2022 by translating it into English.
